Welcome to the Murray Coorong Trail
A magnificent 450-kilometre walking and riding trail, the Murray Coorong Trail sits on the edge of the Murray River, Lower Lakes and Coorong waterways. The trail offers a unique experience for visitors from across the world, immersing themselves in our miraculous natural environment. The Murray Coorong Trail navigates through four National and Conservation Parks and links with more than 30 existing walking, riding, canoe and driving trails.
Iconic features along the Murray Coorong Trail include two significant Aboriginal sites and some of the world’s darkest skies. Trail goers will also see the only inland lighthouse in the Southern Hemisphere and the famous Coorong environment. The Murray Coorong Trail runs through 18 regional towns and is known for it’s excellent seasonality.
